Home > DELIVERY COSTS ETC. > Finding out a delivery cost for your order?  To get a postage cost of any items from The Old Bicycle Co, just add them to your online shopping basket. In the CHECKOUT page, select the delivery option you require and this will automatically calculate the delivery cost of your order based on its total weight. If you are happy with the delivery cost at this point, you can then go on to pay for the order. How the Delivery cost is calculated? Postage and packing of all orders is calculated on individual item weight and added together for a total. All prices are the current cost at what The Old Bicycle Co get charged including a small packing cost. Orders upto 2 kilos are posted 1st Class Royal Mail and Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packet Rate) for Worldwide orders. Orders over 2 kilos and upto 10 kilos are now delivered by courier. International orders over 2 kilos and upto 10 kilos (including Ireland and the Channel Islands) are sent by Parcel Force Global Priority service at the rates outlined below. This service is trackable for both the UK and Worldwide deliveries for added security.  After collection from The Old Bicycle Co, orders will be delivered next day for UK deliveries (3 days for Off shore) and within 7-10 days for international orders. PLEASE NOTE:  For large items such as bicycles, wheels & frames, rims, mudguards & tyres etc, an aditional charge may occur for worldwide shipping. This is due to our shipper (in the case with all shippers) subjecting all parcels to a volumetric conversion and the shipment charge will be based on either the volumetric or actual weight, depending on which is the greater of the two. The volume weight of an International order will be calculated as follows: Length (cm) x Height (cm) x Width (cm) divided by 6,000 e.g 70 x 50 x 40 divided by 6,000 = 23.5kgs If your International order is subject to a volumetric conversion i.e (if your order contains rims, tyres, mudguards etc), you may be notified by email and told of any extra shipping costs and asked if you are happy to continue with the order. If you would like a shipping cost prior to placing an order for large items such as rims, tyres, mudguards etc. Please email us your requirements and a full shipping address.
