Here is a c.1884 penny farthing bicycle or Ordinary as the were originally known of unknown maker.
52" front driving wheel with new leather saddle to an original pattern. Bronze hubs with later cranks and rat trap pedals. Brake hardware is missing which is not un-common. A good ridable machine from an era when the penny farthing was the fastest machine on the road.
