Description

A c.1877 penny farthing bicycle made by Bayliss & Thomas of Coventry, England. 48" inch front driving wheel with a 16" inch trailing wheel. Re-covered leather pan saddle. Original horn grips, cast brake hardware, pedals with original rubbers. Saddle leaf spring has the original etched Bayliss & Thomas logo which is very rare to see on original penny farthings. Frame number: 363712 stamped on the neck and the size (48).

Roller bearing hubs.

The bicycle is rideable. As with most old bicycles, it has had the obligatory black paint job some time in the past.

A good bicycle from a good maker and pretty complete too.

SORRY, THIS BICYCLE IS NOW SOLD.
