For sale here is a nice, ridable Raleigh Roadster dating from 1948. This bicycle has had some loving restoration done by us in our workshop to bring it up to an everyday ridable state.
Some of the features we put on new to the bicycle include:
- Brand new 28 x 1.1/2 tires and inner tubes
- 4x new round body (Raleigh type) Brake blocks fitted to front and rear
- New Brittania rubber handle-bar grips
- Used Wrights leather saddle to match the date of the bicycle
- Replacement Nickel plated handlebars (from another simular aged Raleigh Bicycle)
We also did a complete cleaning overhaul of the bicycle, to bring back the remaining plating on the rims, brake rods etc, and clean the original Black paintwork.
This bicycle includes many original features too, such as the Raleigh front headlamp mounting, rear mounted centre stand, Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub, and Wlliams 6.1/2" crank chainset.
